“Gone Fishing” is a playful homage to the anthropomorphic frog illustrations that graced advertisements and shaving mugs during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These whimsical depictions, rooted in Victorian humor and artistry, were a beloved feature of everyday objects, capturing the imagination with their charm and absurdity. We hope it brings a touch of whimsy to your daily routine.

The artwork is applied using traditional screen-printed ceramic transfers, a method developed nearly a century ago and still favored for its clarity and durability, well suited to a shaving bowl grounded in tradition. Each color is printed with ceramic pigment onto a transfer medium, then carefully applied by hand and kiln-fired. The result is a fused design with crisp detail, rich color, and lasting beauty.
