W&H RAZOR HONING PAD

작은 사이즈의 가죽 스트롭으로 양날면도날 또는 질레트 카트리지 면도날의 날을 세우는 제품이다. 면도전후에 혼닝 패드로 면도날을 세우면 수명을 최대 5배까지 확대할 수 있다. 따라서, 면도날 비용을 크게 줄일 수 있으며 환경보호에도 기여할 수 있다. 면도날이 무뎌져서 걸리는 느낌이 들 때 본 호닝 과정을 실행하세요. 약 5배 정도 면도날의 수명을 연장할 수 있습니다. 

HOW TO USE

Gillette Mach3 또는 Gillette Fusion cartridge를 위한 방법:

1. IMPORTANT! 2~3초간 따뜻한 물에 패드를 남궈 가죽에 물기를 제공합니다.
2. 카트리지 면도기를 패드에 대고 편안한 자세로 기울입니다. 
3. 면도기를 패드의 상단으로 밀면서 날을 세웁니다. 그후 면도기를 패드에서 때고 다시 하단으로 이동후 다시 상단으로 밀면서 날을 세웁니다. 절대로 패드에 댄체 면도기를 당기지 마세요.
4. 10회 정도 밀면서 날을 세우세요.

Safety razor blade를 위한 방법:

1. 면도날을 헤드에 견고하게 장착합니다. 드라이한 상태의 패드를 사용하세요.
2. 호닝 패드의 하단에 안전 면도기를 대고 약 35도 각도로 세워 면도날이 가죽에 닿도록 해주세요.
3. 면도기를 패드의 상단으로 밀면서 날을 세웁니다. 그후 면도기를 패드에서 때고 다시 하단으로 이동후 다시 상단으로 밀면서 날을 세웁니다. 절대로 패드에 댄체 면도기를 당기지 마세요.
4. 5회 정도 밀면서 날을 세우세요.
5. 180도 전환하여 다른 면을 동일하게 시행하세요.

W&H RAZOR HONING PAD

Small traditional leather strops designed to sharpen double edge razor blades and Gillette razor cartridges. Sharpening with your honing pad either before or after shaving extends the longevity of blades by up to five times. Use of a honing pad reduces your demand for razor cartridge and double edge safety razor blades. This, naturally lowers ongoing shaving costs and is of huge benefit to the environment.

HOW TO USE

Follow these steps to sharpen your Gillette Mach3 or Gillette Fusion cartridge:

1. IMPORTANT! Dip the honing pad into warm water for 2 to 3 seconds to moisten the leather.
2. Position your cartridge razor at the bottom of the honing pad, tilt razor up to comfortable position.
3. Push razor up to top of the honing pad, lift and return to bottom (do NOT drag blade back over leather).
4. Repeat up to 10 times.

Perform this procedure at the end, or beginning of every shave until the blade starts to feel dull. You may experience razor 'tugging' at this point, to alert that the blade has reached the end of it's useful life. With regular sharpening, we estimate that you will have extended the usefulness of each cartridge up to five times.

Follow these steps to sharpen your safety razor blade:

1. With your blade screwed tightly in the razor head, ensure the blade AND leather is DRY.
2. Position your safety razor at the bottom of the honing pad, tilt razor up to around 35o so blade touches leather.
3. Push razor up to top of the honing pad, lift and return to bottom (do NOT drag blade back over leather).
4. Repeat up to 5 times.
5. Flip the razor 180o and repeat so both edges have been sharpened.

Perform this procedure at the beginning of every shave (when both the blade and leather are dry) until the blade starts to feel dull. You may experience razor 'tugging' at this point, to alert that the blade has reached the end of it's useful life. With regular sharpening, we estimate that you will have at least tripled the usefulness of each of your double edge razor blades.
